Julio César Montero Castillo (born in Montevideo 25 April 1944) is a former Uruguayan international footballer who played as a defender.[1]
During his club career he played for Uruguayan sides Liverpool and Nacional, Independiente of Argentina, and Spanish side Granada.[1]
He represented the Uruguay national football team in the 1970 FIFA World Cup (playing in all six matches) and the 1974 FIFA World Cup.[2]
Montero Castillo is the father of footballer Paolo Montero.
